John Nah:

I had been looking to purchase my first home seven years ago when the real estate market was on fire. Two things I learned from that experience were #1 I was not yet ready to buy, and #2 the real estate business can too often have unscrupulous individuals who seek to get double commission by representing both parties, push buyers to make hasty decisions, and counsel individuals to go for the max or even beyond what they can afford.

I can say with no reservation that Kurt and Kris have exhibited the highest levels of integrity and care in the purchase of my first house. Their total approach was upside down from any experience that I had had with any other realtor. Instead of immediately going to look at homes as the first step, during our first meeting, we prayed; then we looked at my finances and timeline; then I was encouraged to take the time to prayerfully consider further on my own.

As a single income teacher looking to buy in Fairfax County, I knew that even with a buyer friendly market, the perfect home for me would be tough to find. And despite all the encouragements to search the web on my own, the house I ended up buying was one that Kris picked out for us to look at during one of our many days of looking. Being a little outside of my price range, I was extra cautious not to fall in love with it too quickly. I’m a firm believer in God showing His favor and blessing often through certain individuals who walk in His ways. Kurt and Kris not only prayerfully interceded on my behalf they also encouraged me to seek others who were willing to do so on my account. This encouraged me to not develop any I know what I’m doing attitude, but to humbly invite others into this step of my life. You could say that it paid off in seeing God work in a way that I think can only be attributed to His active role on my behalf. Before my second look, we found out that the seller was going to relist the price $10,000 less than when we saw it the first time. During the contract negotiations the seller offered to lower it another $5000 to take off our request for cash to assist in the closing costs.

Granted this may not be typical or even expected, but I think it says something about these men that work with integrity in a cutthroat industry. I’m somewhat averse to confrontation, therefore during the closing process I greatly appreciated Kris staying on top of all of the little details in the many communications with the seller’s agent about repairs that were necessary.

All in all my experience was as pleasant as I think it could be and I cannot recommend them more highly.
